MASTER’S Commission School of Ministry’s goal is to fully train and equip men and women to be effective and anointed church leaders. It is our desire to raise up and send out “world changers” for the glory of God! This will be accomplished by developing the whole person spiritually, mentally, socially, and physically through our full time, two year ministry school.
We will equip you spiritually.
God is calling each of us to a higher place. The discipleship portion of our program is designed to guide you to that higher level and a deeper relationship with God.
Committing to set yourself apart unto God is an important component to discipleship. In word and in deed, all things must be done to the glory of God. Each student will be encouraged to live a Godly lifestyle and must sign a Discipleship Covenant promising to follow all discipleship guidelines. Whether in the class room, at services, on mission trips, at outreaches, on adventure trips, or in fellowship times, spiritual growth is our goal in all aspects at M.C.S.M.
We will equip you intellectually.
We believe that academics and ministry training are essential to developing church leaders and visionaries. Each disciple at M.C.S.M. is also a student of R.B.I. (Rock Bible Institute) or taking online courses through S.A.G.U (Southwestern Assemblies of God University). Through R.B.I., our Global University study center, you will receive the course work necessary to apply for licensing with the Assemblies of God. Students may choose to take online courses offered through Southwestern Assemblies of God University. This program offers accredited courses applicable to any degree offered at S.A.G.U.; Students completing two years of M.C. in this program will be eligible to apply for ministerial certification with the Assemblies of God. In addition to this course work, you will have a customized educational program providing instruction and training in the area to which you feel called. This is accomplished through additional book work, personalized lectures, seminars, training videos, and hands on experience and training.
There are many ways to learn, so we incorporate experiential learning through adventure trips, outreaches, ministry tours, mission trips, and ministry involvement to supplement class work.
You will be held to a high standard of promptness, thoroughness, and excellence. We will strive to train you to be on time, to be prepared, and to do your very best. It is our desire to see you fully equipped and prepared to do God’s work, and to help you find a place to fulfill your call.
We will equip you socially.
An undeniable aspect of the Master’s Commission experience is the life-long relationships that are built. Our goal is to create a loving family atmosphere, and to build and nurture Godly relationships that will last.
As well as developing great friendships with other students, wonderful relationships will be built with the family who will open there home to house you. This home will be more than a place to sleep and eat, it will truly become your family away from home!
We will equip you physically.
God’s word gives us clear teaching on the importance of taking care of our bodies. We are to glorify God with our bodies and to treat them as His temple. At Master’s Commission School of Ministry, Grand Junction, we desire to help you become physically fit and prepared to serve God in any way He may ask.
Whether it’s a team hike, a game of basketball, the ropes course, a morning run, weights, or a brisk walk, at M.C.S.M. we won’t be couch potatoes!
As with all areas of this program, individual limitations will be taken into consideration, and if necessary activity levels adjusted to meet the needs of each student, as we are able.
