M.C.S.M. is a two year program designed to prepare your young person for a life of ministry. Whether the applicant chooses to go into full–time service as a licensed minister, or he/she wants a basis on which to build a life of servitude and involvement in the Church, M.C.S.M. can meet that need.
Your child will live in a home away from home and will become a part of the family’s life. The purpose is to teach him/her to build self–discipline in an unfamiliar environment and to develop a mature consideration of others. Our team–intensive program provides them the opportunity to become a well rounded person with emphasis on spiritual, mental, social, and physical development.
Spiritually
God is calling each of us to a higher place. The discipleship portion of our program is designed to guide the student to that higher level. The result will be a deeper relationship with God.
Many aspects of our discipleship program will help guide your student on his/her journey. Through anointed preaching, teaching, mentoring, and by displaying a Christ–like example, our pastors and leadership will pour themselves into your child's life. Like Jesus prepared His disciples with His very life, so will our lives be given to encourage your student's progress. the spiritual disciplines of prayer, fasting, study, meditation, and worship are a vital part of any disciple's growth. We will help the student integrate these into his/her life through daily prayer times, scripture memory, worship services, and more. Submersion into these disciplines will transform your child’s life!
During the first year of M.C.S.M. no dating is allowed. Students will also refrain from worldly activities. In word and deed, all must be done to the glory of God. each student will be expected to live a Godly lifestyle and must sign a covenant waiver promising to follow all discipleship guidelines. Whether in the class room, at services, on mission trips, at outreaches, on adventure trips, or in fellowship times, spiritual growth is our goal in all aspects at M.C.S.M.
Mentally
We believe that academics and ministry training are essential to developing church leaders and visionaries. Each disciple at M.C.S.M is also a student of R.B.I. (Rock Bible Institute) or taking online courses through S.A.G.U (Southwestern Assemblies of God University). Through R.B.I, our Global University study center, your student will receive the course work necessary to apply for licensing with the Assemblies of God. Students may choose to take online courses offered through Southwestern Assemblies of God University. This program offers accredited courses applicable to any degree offered at S.A.G.U.; Students completing two years of M.C. in this program will be eligible to apply for ministerial certification with the Assemblies of God.
In addition to this course work, he/she will have a customized educational program providing instruction and training in the area to which he/she feels called. This is accomplished through additional book work, personalized lectures, seminars, training videos, and hands on experience and training. There are many ways to learn, so we incorporate experiential learning through adventure trips, outreaches, ministry tours, mission trips, and ministry involvement to supplement class work. Part of any educational process is learning discipline and a good work ethic. We will strive to train your student to be on time, to be prepared, and to do their very best. It is our desire to see them fully equipped and prepared to do God’s work, and to help them find a place to fulfill their call.
